In addition to the many areas that are not incorporated, we have two towns that are separate entities with their own elected officials.  The Town of Crested Butte which is an 8 block by 8 block area that is entirely an historic district.  This is where the majority of our restaurants & stores are.  The Town of Mt. Crested Butte is where the ski area and the base area are with ski shops, restaurants, and condos.
